There are different types of phobias:
Simple phobias are fears about specific objects, animals, situations or activities. Some common examples include:
Dogs
Spiders
Snakes

Dentists

Complex phobias are typically more debilitating than simple phobias because they often stem from deep-seated anxieties or fears related to specific circumstances or situations.
Two prevalent examples of complex phobias include agoraphobia and social phobia.
Agoraphobia involves an intense fear of finding oneself in situations where escape could prove challenging or where assistance might be unavailable if things were to go awry.
Individuals with agoraphobia may experience anxiety surrounding:
Travelling on public transportation.
Visiting crowded shopping centres.
In severe cases, even leaving their own homes can trigger distress.
On the other hand, social phobia entails an apprehension of social scenarios like weddings or performing in public speaking engagements. Those with social phobia fear the possibility of embarrassment or humiliation in public settings.
Another extreme fear that is more common than a lot of people realise is Emetophobia, or the fear of vomiting / fear of being sick.
It’s a debilitating phobia that can significantly impact an individual's daily life.
Those with emetophobia often experience intense anxiety and may go to great lengths to avoid situations that could lead to vomiting.

The Rewind and Reframe Technique for Simple Phobias:
One powerful technique employed in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy simple phobia sessions is the "Rewind and Reframe" method. This technique is particularly effective in addressing specific traumatic experiences associated phobias.
The Rewind:
Patients are guided through a relaxation process and asked to recall the phobic event in a detached manner.
The therapist then helps the individual "rewind" the memory, gradually moving backward in time, diminishing the emotional charge associated with the event.
The Reframe:
Once the emotional intensity is reduced, the therapist helps the individual reframe the memory by associating positive emotions with the phobic event.
This process allows the individual to create a new, positive narrative surrounding the previously phobic situation.
